Interested in a part-time postgraduate course in Immunology?

At present we offer the MSc in Integrated Immunology at the University of Oxford as a full-time course. We know, however, that there are students who would like to pursue study in this area but who cannot commit to full-time learning, either because of their personal circumstances and/or financial or other reasons.

We are therefore conducting a study to assess the feasibility of offering a part-time, distance-learning course in Integrated Immunology. We are considering a Postgraduate Diploma (PGDip) which would be based largely on the content of the first two taught terms of our MSc course, but restructured into about 6 modules that could be studied over a period of 1-3 years. In addition, we are considering the possibility of extending this to a Masters’ degree, with the addition of a research project that could, for example, be conducted at a place of work during full-time employment.

We would like to know what you think about this – what matters to you, how achievable part-time learning could be for you, and whether or not you might be interested in such a course – and so we would really appreciate any responses to this questionnaire.

Please follow the link to the questionnaire from our course website: http://www.nds.ox.ac.uk/immunology/

You are welcome to answer anonymously. However, if you wish to include a contact email address, we will enter you into a prize draw to win a copy of ‘Exploring Immunology’ by Gordon MacPherson and Jon Austyn, Wiley 2012. All replies will be treated in confidence.
