ESID Summer School 2023 is coming soon!

We are pleased to inform you that the location and dates of the ESID Summer School 2023 have been confirmed.

Accelerate Your Career 

If you are inspired by a career in the field of primary immunodeficiencies, whether in the clinic, the lab, or a combination, this will be an excellent opportunity to update your knowledge, hear about the latest diagnostic tools, and learn from leaders in the field who see and manage patients with the whole spectrum of primary immunodeficiency, while also networking and socialising with your colleagues.

Dates and Venue

ESID Summer School 2023 will take place from 11-14th May 2023, at Dolce Attica Riviera, located in Vravrona, near Athens, Greece.

The faculty will be headed by Clara Franco-Jarava​ and Antonio Marzollo, Chairs of Education and Juniors Working Parties.

Online Applications

Each year the Society selects between 30 and 35 ESID Junior Members based on their background, interest in PID and motivation. For successful applicants, ESID will cover accommodation and meals. Travel and personal expenses are not covered. 

Limited number of travel grants will be available. Please, indicate in the Application form if you would like to apply for a travel grant and complete the related section. 

The applications will open on December 1, 2022

Application Deadline: January 31, 2023.

Applicants will be notified about the outcome of their applications on February 14, 2023.

Requirements:

  • Be a current ESID junior member* and active in the next membership cycle 2022/2023 (preference will be given to candidates training for PID who have not yet attended a Summer School in Australia/USA/EU)
  • Curriculum Vitae
  • Personalized letter of support from your Head of Department or similar (please note that we only accept 1 applicant supported per head of department)
  • Case of PID (or suspected PID), which you would like to present at the ESID Summer School. The case should be educational and not just “tricky” (max. 3 PowerPoint slides in a PDF format). 
  • Completed Application form, which includes Statement of Career Goals and List of Publications and/or meeting presentations. Please, download the PDF  Application form , and add the completed form to your application documents.
