Dear all,

Only a little while, and we will meet in Prague, where I hope to see you all on the Educational Day (9.00 to 16.00hrs on Wednesday, October 29). In the morning we have a plenary session on ‘Diagnostic approach in PID’, and in the afternoon a plenary session on ‘Therapeutic approach to PID’. There will be parallel educational poster walks, where participating juniors can discuss their research with the audience under the guidance of the moderators. Be sure not to miss the Summer School reunion lunch (in a separate area)!

In the meanwhile, we are already working on the ESID Summer School 2015, which my successor will for sure organise in again a wonderful spot with lots of hard work, networking and friendships-in-the-making. Application will likely be open from early 2015. Keep an eye on the ESID website and the ESID Newsletter to be sure not to miss it for you as a junior, or for your juniors, when you are a senior.

Since I will step down in Prague, this is my last announcement in an ESID Newsletter as Chair of the Educational Working Party. I look back upon many years of enjoyable and fruitful collaboration in the ESID Boards I was part of. I thank all the ESID Board members I have worked with for this, and also all ESID members for the trust they put in me when they elected and re-elected me, as Treasurer, as Meeting President 2008 in ’s-Hertogenbosch (the Netherlands), and as Chair of the Educational Working Party. But I will sure see you again many times in the future, then as regular member of our Society!
