We are very happy to announce that a new season of our monthly ESID Juniors Journal Clubs and Clinical Case presentations is starting in October 2025.
We are opening the Call for speakers and invite you to submit your applications as this is a valuable opportunity to showcase your expertise and share your passion for primary immunodeficiencies with a wide and engaged audience.
What are the Juniors Journal Club and Clinical Case webinar sessions?
ESID Juniors Journal Club and Clinical Case webinar sessions are online webinars, during which Junior members can share their interesting clinical cases or research findings. These webinars are moderated by fellow Juniors and are aimed at sharing experiences in a friendly environment and a growing young IEI community.
No matter where you work, if you have an interesting clinical case to share or recent research you would like to present, we encourage you to apply to speak at an upcoming ESID Juniors session. While we will aim to accommodate as many submitted presentations as possible, if the number of applications exceeds the available slots, we will select the most compelling cases and research papers for presentation. Each session will be moderated by ESID Juniors, that will also facilitate the preparation of your session.
Why should you apply to be a speaker at an ESID Juniors session?
- Reach a broad international audience: Present your clinical case or research findings to peers and experts from across Europe and beyond. The Juniors sessions attract participants from various backgrounds and institutions, providing excellent exposure to your presentation.
- Add visibility to your recent work and publications and discuss new ideas with the participants: The interactive format encourages discussion and knowledge exchange, helping you refine your ideas while highlighting your clinical experience or novel research.
- You’ll receive an official certificate recognizing your contribution as a speaker—an excellent addition to your academic or professional record
- Contribute to the ESID community: By sharing your insights, you actively support the learning and development of fellow Juniors and contribute to the ongoing advancement of the field.

Are non-Junior ESID members invited to join the sessions?
Yes! Although the presenters and moderators will be exclusively ESID Juniors, they might get help from their senior colleagues and mentors for preparation, moderation and discussion. This also means that you are cordially invited to involve your senior colleagues to join the sessions.
