Clinical faculty position in the Division of Pediatric Immunology
Department of Pediatrics, Faculty of Medicine, Dalhousie University, Halifax, Nova Scotia is seeking a clinician for a position in the Division of Pediatric Immunology.

The Division includes a collaborative team of clinician and basic researchers. It has a national and international reputation for excellence in patient care, teaching and research. The Division provides care for patients with immunodeficiencies, complex autoimmune and hyperinflammatory disorders, follow-up for bone marrow transplant patients and includes an advanced diagnostic and investigational laboratory. The Division has Pediatric Clinical Fellows in an accredited Royal College training program in Clinical Immunology and Allergy. The successful candidate will be working within a strong pre-clinical and clinical research program comprised of approximately 30 research assistants and trainees investigating autoimmune disorders and immune deficiency diseases. The members of the Division collaborate with other divisions including Pediatric Infectious Diseases, Rheumatology, Genetics and Hematology and are closely linked to and contribute to the Department of Microbiology and Immunology graduate program in the Faculty of Medicine.
The successful candidate must have an MD or equivalent and be certified in Pediatrics. They must also have subspecialty certification, substantial experience in Clinical Immunology and research experience in immunology. Eligibility for medical licensure in Nova Scotia is essential. They will contribute to the Pediatric Clinical Immunology service and if desired, may also be involved with other clinical services. They will be provided with substantial protected time to develop a research program. They will have the opportunity to contribute to teaching in the Pediatric Residency program, and in the Faculties of Medicine and Graduate Studies.
The Department of Pediatrics, consisting of more than 60 faculty members, is situated within the IWK Health Centre, a tertiary care teaching hospital for the Maritime Provinces of Canada serving a population of nearly two million. It is affiliated with Dalhousie Medical School and located in the vibrant city of Halifax on the beautiful Atlantic coast of Canada. Excellent schools, sports and a cultural rich heritage are features of Halifax.
