New Survey - Splenectomy in CVID - Participate NOW!
This is an initiative of EUROPADnet
Dear Colleague!
There is currently no evidence to guide decisions when splenectomy is being considered in patients with common variable immunodeficiency.
We are therefore conducting a survey to assess the reasons for and outcomes of splenectomy in these patients.
We would like to collect data on any CVID patients, alive or deceased, who have had a splenectomy after 1980. If you are interested in this survey and would like to submit a patient to this trial please complete as much of the form Patient_Survey_Form_Final12.pdf as you can, but even simple clinical outcome data
is useful.
The results will be prepared for publication and you may nominate a co-author from your unit if you wish to contribute to the paper. All contributors of data will be acknowledged.
Please complete the following form Splenectomy_Survey_Final12.pdf
for your centre and return it with the patient survey forms to the address stated in the form.
We would like to collect the data latest by 31.7.2010.
Thank you for your help,
Aarn and Klaus
